Bergaglio is one of only a handful of incredible winmakers in Gavi. Gavi is often thought of as a fashion victim's wine as the flavors rarely match up to the hype, but the crystal clear palate of delightfully refreshing apple grapefuit and citrus fruit here is breath-taking.
No doubt about it. Bollinger is a stately wine, with presence and power. Richer and more intense than both Billecart Salmon and Laurent Perrier this is also a foody fizz with oodles of breeding and distinction.
Made with tip top fruit and superb French oak barrels, you are unlikely to find a flashier or more satisfying wine from this famous region anywhere else....
The Clos de Vougeot is a baby, but it’s worth a listing just to show off! Hoorah – there is so little made and we’ve got some and you could have some, too. Silly really, but it’s such a special wine, there’s no harm in have some fun!..
This is my favourite Californian Cabernet of all time. With only 2000 cases made for the whole world each year, this is as rare as a super-Cab gets and there is more impact and integrity here than in many (no I won’t name names) classed growth Bordeaux. Limited Supply.
